Use this adapter to connect sanitary fittings or connectors to a Lyson tank that does not have a sanitary / tri-clamp fitting. This adapter takes the place of the stainless steel honey gate flap, and requires two nuts to clamp into place. Once installed, you can connect a ball valve, hose, or other device that uses a 1.5" tri-clamp fitting. Fits two sizes of Lyson honey gates: 5/4 and 6/4. To determine if it will fit yours, measure the spacing of the two bolts that hold the honey gate on. This adapter fits a bolt spacing between 2-1/2" and 3-1/8" center to center. It will not fit flanges with bolts spaced above 3-1/8" or other larger flanges. Typically no gasket is required, as the mating piece on the tank/extractor side has a built-in o-ring. If your flange does not have an o-ring, you will need a gasket or sealant (food grade silicone sealant recommended).
