Rotary Wax Melter

This rotary wax melter from LYSON uses a spinning stainless steel perforated basket and steam to melt and clean beeswax.

Place dirty beeswax, burr comb, old frames, etc in the basket, add water to the tank/melter, turn the unit on and collect a mixture of water and beeswax from the drain. Beeswax separates from the water as the mixture cools to room temperature.

The drum heater is immersed in water and generates steam for melting. An external tank equalizes water level with the melter drum allowing the user to visually monitor the water level and add water when necessary. The external tank also has low level protection to prevent the heater from being damaged.

The melter melts a full load in about 20 minutes. In our testing so far, it appears an ideal load size is approximately 5 gallons of wax, but this may vary depending on the consistency of the wax.
