This solar wax melter is made from EPP or Expanded Polypropylene Foam. It is based on the same principles as Lyson's other solar wax melters but the foam construction adds better heat absorption properties and keeps the melter warmer longer.

Place your cappings and old comb on a stainless-steel tray within the melter and put the unit out in the hot sun to let the sun do its work! The melted wax will then drip down into the included pan creating cakes of wax for your use.

Note: If you plan to use this melter for cappings left over from extracting, we recommend that you first try and rinse off as much honey as possible so you will have a clean finished product.
