Medium Plastic Foundation Each

This plastic bee foundation is made especially for wooden frames. They are ideal for installing in new or old wooden frames, requiring less work than crimp-wired wax foundation. To install, put either the top or bottom edge of the foundation into its groove in the frame, then flex the foundation and pop the other edge into the other groove. Foundation comes coated with a thin layer of beeswax, but we recommend coating these with more beeswax when starting frames. Bees draw out wax-coated plastic foundation, all-wax foundation, or foundationless frames equally well, If they have a populous hive and plenty of nectar coming in (or sugar syrup). Available in black or white and standard or heavy wax. Made in the USA.

Hint: This foundation works best with grooved top bars.
