Shallow Plastic Foundation Each

This shallow plastic foundation is made especially for wooden frames. They are ideal for installing in new or old wooden frames, requiring less work than crimp-wired wax foundation. To install, put either the top or bottom edge of the foundation into its groove in the frame, then flex the foundation and pop the other edge into the other groove. Bees draw out wax-coated plastic foundation, all-wax foundation, or foundationless frames equally well, IF they have a populous hive and plenty of nectar coming in (or sugar syrup). Foundation comes coated with a thin layer of beeswax, but we recommend coating these with more beeswax when starting frames. Available in black or white. Made in the USA.

Hint: This foundation works best with grooved top bars. 

Note: We cut this foundation to size as only medium and deep foundation is available from the factory.
