Betterbee Observation Hive

A favorite among customers! Observation bee hives let you peer into the world bees inhabit, and can help you gain a better understanding of the ways they build comb, store nectar and pollen and raise brood.

This honey bee hive can hold two deep frames or three medium frames to allow plenty of room for the bees to work. The screened feeding station fits a Mason jar feeder cap (jar not included) for quick feeding. The hive includes a sliding Plexiglas entrance to allow bees to be isolated in the hive or pass in and out freely. The hive can be adapted to accommodate a PVC pipe entrance, which can then be attached to another pipe which leads outside. The top cover is removable to allow for extra ventilation in hot weather or when transporting the hive. The screened inner cover also allows for feeding of winter patties with ease.
